LIVRO DE ESBOÇO / SKETCH BOOK - Volume 1
The first 10 pages (compositions). For this album I used only 2 repetitions of each page.
LIVRO DE ESBOÇO / SKETCH BOOK
1- is a work composed of "sound pages", so far it has 80 pages, 2- each page has a composition, (instrumental), which I now call a page, with an average duration of 1 minute, 3- this composition (page) works as a blank canvas and can be used in looping,
4-the musician is free to choose the number of times the page will be repeated, and on this “base” he improvises / draws melodic lines, 5- for each page (composition) a series of musical notes was established, (Ex: for page 1 the series of notes is C# E F# B ), 6- the musician is challenged to use, in his improvisation, the series of specific notes for each page (composition), and is free to use extended techniques from his instrument, sound textures and "noise" in general can be used along with the series of notes in the elaboration of melodic designs, 7- here I assembled the pages in volumes/albums of 10 pages each, totaling 8 volumes so far,
